Infrastructure Asset Management Infrastructure refers to the resources an organization requires to execute their mission; defined either by physical assets (equipment, facilities, and technology) or organizational structure. The objective of an Infrastructure Assessment report is to identify the requirements of the organization’s supporting systems, enable the effective management of these applications, and identify tools and techniques that will eliminate inefficiencies. Each evaluation focuses on the following three areas:
- Architecture – The tools an organization uses to conduct and support its mission.
- Work Tools and Work Space – The software, hardware, processes, and facilities an organization uses within each environment. This may include software like Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or other applications. It may also include physical resources such as computers, phones, or desk space.
- Governance Tools, Guidelines, and Processes – Elements such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes that support the development and execution of organizational activities.
