Kforce Government Solutions (KGS) has been awarded a five-year contract to provide audit liaison support and quality assurance services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Information and Technology (OIT). KGS will assist CBP/OIT to develop and obtain audit committee support for strategic plans for annual audit, including: identification of challenges/impediments to unqualified opinions; recommendations for alignment of supporting resources; and coordination of audit preparation activities. KGS will support cleansing and conversion of data from legacy systems to new, integrated enterprise solutions. KGS will maintain daily logs of data integrity issues, proposed corrective actions and implementation status, recommended business process improvements, and executive approval status. KGS will assist CBP/OIT to receive, review, coordinate, and track status, staff, and forward responses to auditor requests for clarification of information, processes, and internal controls and related documentation. KGS will also conduct internal pre-audits, studies, analyses, and internal control testing to identify potential impediments to a clean audit opinion, develop and implement effective corrective action plans, and perform verification and validation to confirm that discrepancies have been corrected.
