Tymothy W. “Tym” Caddell

Vice President, Capture and Proposal Management

Mr. Tym Caddell serves as the Vice President for Capture and Proposal Management within our Business Development Sector. Tym currently provides executive oversight and is responsible for capture and proposal activities for KGS and assists the Vice President of Business Development in daily operations of the Business Development Team. Prior to joining KGS, Tym worked as a capture manager for L-3 Communications, Enterprise IT Solutions in Tampa, Florida. While at L-3, Tym led several capture activities for State and Local government opportunities as well as Federal Government opportunities.

Tym retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel with over 24 years of active duty service, serving both as an officer and an enlisted Soldier. Tym’s last tour culminated at the United States Central Command in Tampa, Florida, serving as a Branch Chief in J-6 Directorate. In this position, Tym led Soldiers, airmen, sailors, Marines and contractors in providing automation support for the command’s Global Command and Control System, the command’s automated messaging system and a myriad of internally developed database and web-based programs. Tym deployed with J-6 personnel to the command’s forward headquarters in Doha, Qatar where he led his “troops” and was responsible for implementing, operating and maintaining the command’s entire automation environment during OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.

Tym holds a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and a Master’s of Science in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey California. His military schooling include Transportation Officer Basic and Advance Schools and the Command and General Staff School.
