Steven Jones

Vice President, Healthcare Informatics

Steve Jones serves as the KGS Vice President for Healthcare Informatics.

Mr. Jones has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry, with more than 15 years of program management and leadership experience in the Government Contracting industry. He has a diverse technical background, specifically in the areas of Oracle database development and administration. Joining the dNovus team as a Technical Lead in 1997, he has advanced through various roles of increased responsibility — including Program Manager and Director of Lab and Biomedical Solutions.

Before joining KGS, Mr. Jones spent 9 years as a Computer Systems Specialist in the U.S. Air Force, where responsibilities included the development and management of several IT projects for the Pacific Air Force (PACAF).

Prior to his promotion to Vice President of Healthcare Informatics in 2006, Mr. Jones served as the program manager of a KGS contract that supports the automation needs of the entire DoD Drug Testing Program. Of his many achievements, one of the most notable was the achievement of a flawless SEI-CMM® Level 3 assessment in 2005 — the company's first. In his current role, Mr. Jones is responsible for contract oversight, client relationships and business development within both federal and commercial areas.

Mr. Jones holds a Masters Degree in Management of Information Systems from Saint Mary's University and resides with his wife Lynn in San Antonio, Texas.
