Peter Morneau

Vice President, Department of Defense Programs (DoD)

Peter Morneau serves as the Vice President for Department of Defense (DoD) Programs, responsible for the execution of all aspects of the KGS Department of Defense business portfolio overseeing market strategy, program management and operations. Pete is an accomplished executive with over thirty six years combined Defense Contracting Industry and active Military experience within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community (IC) in business, program and project management, systems engineering, and technical operations leadership.

Before joining KGS in March 2011 Pete was the Chief Engineer of the Defense Agencies Sector at General Dynamics Information Technology’s Intelligence Solutions Division providing senior strategic and technical leadership. During Pete’s 15 years with General Dynamics, he served as Manager for US Navy and Marine Corps, and Joint Inter-Agency business areas, and various levels of program and project management for DoD and IC customers, including managing the engineering branch at USCENTCOM J-2 Systems from 2000-2006 executing nearly $300 million in IT projects in direct support of war efforts.

A seasoned veteran and retired officer, Mr. Morneau served for 22 years in the United States Marine Corps in Intelligence, Counterintelligence, and Aviation. Assignments included leadership positions at various strategic, operational and tactical levels of Service, Joint, and Coalition Staffs, as well as service with U.S State Department, and Defense and National Intelligence agencies. He directly participated in numerous combat operations including the evacuation of U.S. personnel from Vietnam and Cambodia, and operations in Lebanon, Panama, Kuwait, Iraq, Somalia and Haiti.

A graduate of the Defense Intelligence Agency Post Graduate Intelligence Program, Pete holds a Masters degree in Strategic Intelligence, as well as Bachelor degrees in Business from the University of South Carolina and Computer Information Systems from Campbell University, and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Beaufort Technical College, SC. He is an active member of PMI, AFCEA, SCEA, INCOSE and IEEE.
