Larry M. Grant

President and Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Mr. Grant joined KGS to serve as its President in August 2006. Mr. Grant leads and oversees all of KGS's client relationships, business strategies, solutions and service offerings, partnerships, internal operations, and team of professional associates. Since joining, KGS has grown from $27M to $115M in revenues through organic growth and two acquisitions.

Prior to joining KGS, Mr. Grant was the General Dynamics National and Defense Intelligence Solutions Southern Region Director, with profit and loss responsibility for contracts and personnel operating in the Southeast United States, Cuba, and the Middle East. During his three-years of leadership, the Southern Region experienced record growth and profitable revenues.

Before joining General Dynamics, Mr. Grant had a distinguished 20-year career with the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He held positions as a Computer and Communications Officer and as an Intelligence Officer. He culminated his military career serving as the Chief Information Officer, Directorate of Intelligence, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida, during Operations Desert Thunder, Desert Fox, and Enduring Freedom. Mr. Grant provided leadership and management to all facets of IT support to U.S. Central Command's Intelligence operations at MacDill AFB, to U.S. Central Command's deployed headquarters, and to all Intelligence organizations assigned to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in Southwest Asia. Mr. Grant was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal.

Mr. Grant holds a Bachelor's degree from Troy University and Master's from Webster University. Mr. Grant also attended the Joint Staff Officers College, Norfolk, Virginia, the Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, and the Squadron Officers School, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

Mr. Grant continues his passion with rugby as the Forwards Coach for the 2010 National Champion Tampa Krewe Rugby Team and as the Assistant Coach/Forwards Coach for the Florida Collegiate Under-23 All Star Team. He also coached the United States Air Force Rugby Team, the US Armed Forces Rugby Team, the University of South Florida Rugby Team, and the Tampa Bay Titans Rugby Team. Mr. Grant served a short stint with the US National Rugby Team in the Assistant Manager and Manager position.
