Jeff Richardson
Vice President, Business Relations and Innovation Strategies
Mr. Jeff (JR) Richardson is the Vice President of Business Relations and Innovation Strategies within the Office of the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO). Mr. Richardson possesses 25 years as a strategic business development and DoD IT leader with proven strengths translating business needs and mission-critical initiatives into functional and technical outcomes. His experience spans DoD and C4ISR joint and multi-service programs including the Pentagon, USEUCOM, USAFRICOM, USSOUTHCOM, CINC USAREUR, INSCOM, CECOM, CIA, NSA, NRO, DoS and other DoD agencies.
JR is a visionary, creative thinker and CIO IT leader with a can do attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task and adapt to change. For customers, he translates business needs and mission-critical initiatives into IT functional and technical outcomes. He provides KGS’s operational units the expertise and oversight to understand customer objectives and communicate KGS solutions. Additionally, JR enables organic growth through the formation of strategic partnerships – resulting in additional tools and products complementary to KGS’s existing offerings.
JR’s background includes sixteen years of overseas site management and technical director experience in England, Germany and Korea. He has a documented track record for successfully applying his expertise to solve some of the government's most mission-critical challenges, especially in operations, IT transformation, networking, and systems integration areas.
Before joining KGS, JR provided Marketing, Sales and Solution Architecture support for SRA International, Inc. His career has included assignments as Executive Director, Director of Proposals, IT Operations Manager, Engineering Manager, Site Manager, and Principal Engineer.
JR holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
